Pennies – Budget and Expenses App Reviews

Great app, great first impressions. I dont want all the other crap people stuff into these things I just want to see what Ive spent, and what Ive got left. The interface is bang on and super intuitive.

NEEDS ABILITY TO SYNC. Bought the app thinking it syncs. I see in the description that it says future update will enable to sync. Good app but wont work for me and wife unless it syncs.

Attractive and simple app but not enough to complete a proper budget. Also a bit buggy and crashes frequently.

Works super well, no complaints.

Perhaps it misses the notes to remember what youve spent your money on ...!

Good little app for keeping track of weekly stuff. Wish it had a bi-weekly option to better fit my pay cycle but the weekly works fine. A few minor tweaks can be made but overall happy with the app. :)

I like the ease of the app, but would like the option to set the amount of days included in a budget. For example a workweek of 5 days for one budget compared to another budget that may be 7 days.

I dont like the fact that theres no way to get off the number of days left... X(

The app has been significantly updated since most of these reviews were written; you can now add notes to expenses. This is definitely an expense tracking app rather than a budget app really - its more for if you have a steady monthly income and just want to make sure youre not going in the red each month. Its very well designed and intuitive. I do wish you could make recurring monthly expenses but otherwise Im happy with it.

Worth checking out. A good tracker of day-to-day expenditures. Like having an easy to use calculator that categorizes your additions and subtractions.

Love this app. Great for tracking out of pocket spending. I use it for groceries/ household and personal. Lots of viewing options and its easy to use - really happy I found it. Developers: husband just started to use it too - would love to see a sharing option for budgets. Great app thanks!!

This app works almost perfectly for me. The beauty is its simplicity. The developer has made it very easy to key in purchases and deposits. My own requested feature would be the ability to maintain a list of reoccurring expenses. Otherwise, very pleased.

Pennies is a great way to make sure I dont over spend!

Just downloaded this app and Im already regretting spending my money. As other reviewers have said, this is in no way a budgeting app. It is just a way to track your money coming in and out. I was expecting to be able to record recurring expenses (car payment, phone bill, and so forth) but there is no option to do so. Beautiful app that operates well but I feel completely misled.

I like the look and feel overall, and its nice having something so simple. Its perfect for making sure you spend less than you earn, and it makes it easy to see how all those little purchases add up. The new features are very welcome, particularly iCloud sync.
