Pennies – Budget and Expenses App Reviews

I purchased this app and unfortunately its not what I was looking for. It wouldve been nice if there was a free version available before spending the almost 6 dollars on the app. Wasted money for me.

The details like the sound effect completes the experience!

Mint and other personal finance apps were way more than I needed. This is perfect! Simple, usable, doesnt get into my bank accounts and try to make decisions for me. I have my own budget and needed a quick and user friendly way to stick to it. Cute design too.

Sometimes change comes from truth. The truth is to do it all I need to give myself some much disposable income I get what we need but not what I dont need...a credit card statement. Once I see my balance I get real about how to budget. Good idea. Simple. Effective. Behavior changer!

It makes people be more organized with their money. I have a little suggestion. Please make it possible to just delete/edit the transfers just like you do with any expense. Otherwise I TOTALLY LOVE IT.

Easy to use, great way to stay on budget, as a broke university student I would highly recommend it!

Simple, straightforward and flexible. Love the colours and sounds. Good way to keep on track in one place.

This app is easy to use and lets me know where I am with my budget. The reminders make sure I put all of my purchases in.

Have gone through many apps like this, but far and away this app stands alone in ease of use, layout, and feel, excellent

I use this every time I make a transaction! Very helpful! Would be nice to have the "spend today" button by default since I always use the app immediatly after a transaction! Thanks for having squashed the "early reset" bug ! Way to go guys!

Im all about user interface when it comes to apps, and Pennies has a super clean, visually appealing, well designed UI. It is also awesome in terms of functionality. I tried a few similar apps before that I found to be more complicated than necessary. Pennies just lets you quickly and easily keep track of your daily, weekly, and monthly spending to make sure you arent going over budget. I use it everyday, multiple times a day, for 5 seconds at a time.

If youve heard only good things about this app, think twice before buying. Pros: - clean interface - visually pleasing - minimalistic - iCloud sync Cons: - no Dropbox sync, cannot share budget with family members eg. spouse if they have their own iCloud account (who doesnt) - extremely buggy! -- no way to change remaining amount once the budget is set (for example if you set budget to $500 then later change it to $600, this app will think you have somehow spent $100 and theres no way to rectify this other than deleting this "corrupted" budget; [update] this can be fixed by forcing the app to quit then relaunch

Would have left 5 stars had the dev not opted to incorporate in-app purchases into a paid app. Slightly insulting to pay for the free side of a freemium offering.

Im torn because this app is the right level of simplicity I want for budgeting. I dont really want or need more complexity. However, it is so buggy that what would have been a 5 star app is a 3 star one. Given how simple the app is, its almost inexcusable how buggy the app is. Ive found a few workarounds for the bugs, like going back to the home screen and launching the app again. But other bugs are infuriating and have no workaround. TLDR if there were no bugs this would be a 5 star app. But there are bugs and that makes it a 3 star app (and I was being lenient on the scale at that)

This is very nice app. thanks. But, I use JPY. JPY dont use ".00" so, for example if "¥100.00" become "¥100" looks more smart I think. Im glad if you me this fix.

I cant enter the correct amount of money for budget or the expenses. The app doesnt work at all. Waste of money for a buggy app like this.

Good idea, good design but it has got too many crashes and bugs in this update. Please fix it.
